What is kinesiology (muscle testing)?

Eastern traditions talk of a deep, intuitive and universal level of wisdom which infuses the body. In China, it is known as chi (as in tai chi, or chi kung). In japan it is ki (as in aikido). In India, it is prana. In the west, we don't have a good name for it, but it is what we might call a soul level of wisdom, or our deepest intuitive knowing.

It is usually difficult, if not impossible, for our conscious minds to access this level of wisdom. If we could, we would know what was causing our difficulties and what to do to clear them away. Our subconscious minds may give us clues through dreams and other images, but the subconscious talks a different language to the conscious mind, and is notoriously difficult to interpret.

Luckily, we have the means to contact this deepest level of wisdom. We can do this by asking the body, specifically a muscle in the body (usually the deltoid muscle in the arm), to be a means of communication.

This discovery was made by Dr George Goodheart, D.C.,  who found that the various muscles in the body related to specific organs, and that, if the organs were healthy, the muscle would test strong. If unhealthy, or compromised, it would test weak. Those who followed, notably the psychiatrist John Diamond, M.D., developed the field further.

We use kinesiology as a simple tool to obtain yes or no answers from the body. This enables us to navigate through a session quickly and efficiently, identifying the reasons behind the difficulty you may be experiencing, and how to clear them away. The answers come through you.
